Origins
Founded in 1887 in Vichy by jeweller Mr. Framinet, De Bluze emerged with a singular vision: to redefine the world of fine jewellery through innovation, precision, and craftsmanship. A house founded on light and innovation, De Bluze sought from its earliest years to explore brilliance in new ways, shaping a distinct identity rooted in refinement and artistic expression.
In the late nineteenth century, jewellery was defined by tradition and exclusivity. Against this backdrop, the House introduced a new perspective, guided not only by beauty, but by technical mastery and creative ambition.
De Bluze quickly became recognised for its exceptional attention to detail, presenting stones admired for their remarkable clarity, structure, and radiance.
Innovation
On May 20, 1887, opposite the famed Grande-Grille spring at Rue Lucas in Vichy, De Bluze unveiled its earliest creations before an audience of jewellers, chemists, and collectors.
The presentation marked a defining moment for the House, establishing its reputation for innovation and setting the foundation for a new era of jewellery design.
Today, this same spirit continues through the House’s exploration of carefully selected natural gemstones, chosen for their depth, colour, and individuality.
Le Palais du Diamant
From this vision emerged Le Palais du Diamant. By setting luminous stones in gold, platinum, and silver, De Bluze created jewels that celebrated light, proportion, and craftsmanship with extraordinary refinement.
The House became known for compositions that balanced technical precision with timeless elegance, establishing a signature aesthetic that continues to inspire its collections today.
Expansion
As the reputation of the House grew, De Bluze expanded throughout France with boutiques in Paris, Vichy, Nice, Lyon, Marseille, and beyond.
Each address was conceived as more than a boutique. These spaces became immersive encounters with modern luxury, where architecture, presentation, and craftsmanship came together to reflect the identity of the House.
From Rue Saint-Honoré to Boulevard des Capucines, De Bluze established a presence synonymous with elegance and discovery.
Recognition
By the turn of the century, the name De Bluze had entered cultural conversation. Its creations were admired for their remarkable brilliance and refined execution, earning recognition far beyond the world of jewellery itself.
The House became associated with a quiet sophistication, where craftsmanship and innovation existed in perfect balance.
Legacy
Behind every De Bluze creation lies a devotion to artistry and precision. Skilled artisans worked meticulously to compose each piece, setting stones in gold and silver with exceptional care and attention to detail.
Today, the House continues to evolve through a contemporary exploration of colour and design. Natural gemstones, luminous gold vermeil, and refined silhouettes define the modern collections, each piece created with the same enduring values established in 1887.
What began as a study of brilliance has become a continuing expression of colour, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.
